M S Dhoni Gets Engaged to Sakshi Singh Rawat

Indian Cricket Captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is no longer a bachelor. M S Dhoni got engaged to girlfriend Sakshi Singh Rawat on Sarturday, 3^rd July, 2010. Media was kept away from this ceremony. 

The ceremony for engagement was held secretively at Bhagirathi Resorts at Selaqui, 20 km away form Dehradun. As per the available information, few close friends of him were present for the ceremony besides his family members. Ashish Nehra and Harbhajan Singh were also present at the ceremony. 

29 year old Dhoni and 21 year old Sakshi Singh Rawat had been school friends at DAV in Ranchi. Their fathers were colleagues in MECON. They holidayed together in Mussoorie and Dehradun, before the engagement.

Sakshi graduated from the Institute of Hotel Management in Aurangabad two months ago. As per the information, she wore a lemon coloured sari on the occasion. 

There is no date fixed for their marriage yet. Dhoni will tie the knot after the Australian Series.
